ABOUT
I’m a trusted communications professional with almost 20 years in the business. So what?
Well, what sets me apart from the crowd is my unconventional professional journey and the value
it brings to my clients.
I graduated as a Chemical & Materials Engineer and spent the first five years of my working life striding purposefully about in overalls, hard hat and steel caps before making the leap to communications. Beginning with five years as a technical journalist and editor (writing for the Institute of Physics Publishing in the UK and then as Editor of Progressive Building Magazine here in NZ), I made the move to public relations. And I wouldn’t change a thing – my engineering background coupled with my editorial experience has set me up well for the work I love to do now.

I’m passionate about forming strong relationships with clients, built on trust. I’ve worked with clients across multiple industries, including finance and education, transport and tourism. But, unsurprisingly, I’ve carved out a particular niche in the property and construction, engineering and architecture, manufacturing and tech spaces.

I’m not intimidated by ‘tech-speak’, in fact I love it! I relish the challenge of telling clients’ stories in a compelling manner – digesting often complex material with ease and translating it into easy-to-understand language.

Clients take comfort in the fact that I just ‘get it’.
